The premiere of “Top Gun: Maverick”, with Tom Cruise in the lead role, has been postponed to December, and the feature film “A Quiet Place Part II” with Emily Blunt in the distribution for September, Paramount announced. The continuation of the successful 1986 feature film, directed by Joseph Kosinski after a script written by Peter Craig, Justin Marks, and Eric Warren Singer, was due to be released on June 24. Now, it will run in theaters on December 23.
The cast of “Top Gun: Maverick” includes Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller, who plays the son of Goose and is Maverick’s protégé, and Val Kilmer, who returns as Tom “Iceman”.
“A Quiet Place Part II”, made by John Krasinski two years after the release of the first thriller, will debut in theaters on September 4. The animated movie “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” was to be released on May 22 and the premiere was moved to July 31. The full-length SF film “The Tomorrow War”, scheduled for December 25, has not been released.
