Germany’s MotoGP Grand Prix, scheduled for June 21, on the Sachsenring circuit, has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers announced.
“We are in talks with the authorities to find a new date for the Grand Prix. The health of the supporters and all those involved in the main priority,” the organizers said on the event’s website.
Events involving large numbers of people were banned in Germany until August 31, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thus, the first six stages of the speed motorcycle season were canceled or postponed: the MPs of Spain, France, Italy, Catalonia, and Germany were postponed, and the Qatar MP was canceled.
The MotoGP World Championship is set to start with the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen on June 28.
