The 47th death of a person confirmed with coronavirus was announced Monday afternoon as a 77-year-old man from Hunedoara County. Another 192 coronavirus cases have been diagnosed in the last 24 hours, with a total of 1952 illnesses. A total of 209 people were cured.
According to the Strategic Communication Group, the 47th death is of a 77-year-old man from Hunedoara County.
On March 27, he was collected biological samples for COVID-19 that were tested at the Municipal Emergency Clinical Hospital of Timisoara. The result of the test, from March 28, was positive.
The man died on March 30 at the Hunedoara Municipal Hospital.
He also had other conditions, namely ischemic heart disease, and had no contact with any confirmed person.
“To date, March 30, in Romania, 1,952 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the 1,952 positively confirmed persons, 209 were declared cured and discharged (55 in Timisoara, 80 in Bucharest, 23 in Iasi, 15 in Caraş-Severin, 7 in Craiova, 10 in Constanta, 10 in Prahova and 2 in Cluj, 1 in Galati, 1 in Mures 1 in Bihor, 1 in Braila, 3 in Braşov). At the same time, 46 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in hospitals in Craiova, Bucharest, Iasi, Suceava, Arad, Bacau, Timisoara, Cluj, Neamt, Hunedoara, Constanta, Ialomita and Satu Mare, have died. Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 192 new cases of illness have been registered. Newly confirmed patients are between 1 and 90 years old, “the authorities announced.
At ATI, at this moment, 55 patients are admitted, of which 33 are in serious condition. The health of the other patients is good, stationary.
In the territory of Romania, in institutionalized quarantine, there are 9,255 people. Another 126,371 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
To date, at the national level, 23,103 tests have been processed, of which over 1,500 in private medical units.
