The total number of coronavirus disease cases reached 906 on Wednesday, with 144 other people diagnosed in the last 24 hours. The 13th death of a person diagnosed with coronavirus was recorded on Wednesday. She is a woman from Caras-Severin county, aged 72, transferred on Tuesday evening to the Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Timisoara.
“To date, March 25, on the Romanian territory, 906 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the 906 people confirmed positively, 86 were declared healed and discharged (53 in Timisoara, 23 in Bucharest, 6 in Craiova, 2 in Constanta, one in Cluj and one in Iasi). To date, March 25, 13 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection and with pre-existing chronic diseases, hospitalized in hospitals in Bucharest, Iasi, Suceava, Arad, Craiova, Timisoara, and Bacau, have died. Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, 144 other cases of illness have been registered. Newly confirmed patients range in age from 3 years to 79 years ”, announces the Strategic Communication Group.
At ATI, at this moment, 18 patients are admitted, of which 8 are in serious condition. The health of the other patients is good, stationary.
In the territory of Romania, in institutionalized quarantine, there are 6,016 persons for whom checks are carried out to detect if they have contacted the virus COVID – 19 (coronavirus). Another 96,055 people are in isolation at home and are under medical supervision.
The Strategic Communication Group mentions that these figures regarding the quarantined and isolated persons do not include the figures regarding the situation in Bucharest, for which we will communicate as soon as possible.
To date, 14,466 tests have been processed at the national level, of which 646 in private medical units.
In the last 24 hours, 1,391 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 9,359 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
So far, through the authorized structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 167 criminal files have been drawn up, under the aspect of committing the crime of denial of disease control, a fact stipulated and punished by art. 352 para. 1 Criminal Code. At the same time, the Police and the Gendarmerie applied 1,336 penalties for contravening the isolation/quarantine measures.
Also, on the occasion of the formalities of entering the country, the Border Police prepared 4 criminal files, in which 18 persons are investigated, in the aspect of committing the crime of falsification in declarations, a fact stipulated and punished by art. 326 Penal Code.
Regarding the situation of the Romanian citizens in other states, according to the information obtained by the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, so far, 51 Romanian citizens have been confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 38 in Italy, 4 in Spain, 2 in Namibia, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in France and one in Tunisia, Ireland and Luxembourg. Since the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and up to this moment, 8 Romanian citizens abroad, 7 in Italy and one in France have died.
