This year’s Peabody Awards ceremony, which rewards television, radio, and other media products, was postponed due to Covid-19.
Scheduled to take place on June 18, for the first time in Los Angeles in eight decades since its debut, it has now been postponed indefinitely.
“The safety of the guests, team, and partners involved in our annual event remains the top priority,” said Peabody Executive Director Jeffrey P. Jones.
The 60 nominations were to be announced in April. The Peabody committee said it was reevaluating the program.
Last year, the Peabody ceremony, hosted by Ronan Farrow, took place on May 18 in New York. Actress Rita Moreno received the trophy for her entire career.
