Kezmu Hungarian state company announced that it has started production of surgical masks

Kézmű, a state-owned company that employs people with disabilities, has begun producing surgical masks because of the global pandemic, Secretary of State Attila Fülöp announced at the Kézmű factory in Budapest, writes the Budapest Business Journal.

The first masks produced will be delivered to the most vulnerable categories of coronaviruses: residents and senior nursing staff, Fülöp said.

Péter Csizi, the director of Kézmű, said the company could produce 30,000 masks a day. The two-layer textile masks are washable and can be reused, he added.

Kézmű-Erfo-Főkefe Group has 9,000 employees in 136 locations throughout the country.
