Spanish newspaper Don Balon writes that the Real Madrid group is ready to pay the sum of ten million euros for the transfer of midfielder Ianis Hagi, now a player at Glasgow Rangers, where he was loaned by Genk.
According to the source, the transfer policy of the Madrid club will change due to the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, instead of stars transferred to large amounts, Real Madrid will focus on young players, with high potential, but much cheaper, as was the case of Marco Asensio, brought from Mallorca for an amount of almost 4 million euro, in 2014.
Don Balon writes that impressed by the developments in the Europa League of the player, Florentino Perez, Real’s president, has already discussed with Hagi jr. about his intention to bring Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spanish publication adds that coach Zinedine Zidane would have agreed to transfer Ianis Hagi.
However, Gheorghe Hagi’s son, who was also a Real player, could first reach the second team of the merengue club, coached by Raul, as was the case with other footballers later promoted to the first team, such as Vinicius, Rodrygo or Reinier.
In the loan agreement of the 21-year-old Romanian international, the Glasgow Rangers club has a final purchase option for five million euros.
