Formula 1 teams from the UK will work together to manufacture a new type of medical ventilator


Seven of the ten teams participating in the Formula 1 World Championship teamed up to design and produce medical devices in a short time to be used to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Grouped under the name “Project Pitlane”, the Aston Martin, Racing Point, Haas, McLaren, Mercedes, Renault and Williams teams, all based in the United Kingdom, responded with this initiative to the call from the Government of London to manufacture and deliver. of medical ventilators for assisted breathing.

The seven teams will focus on designing and producing a medical ventilator prototype, as well as carrying out all the necessary tests, so that it can be authorized in record time, before immediately entering production and thus responding to the health needs, according to the year posted on the official website of Formula 1.
