Floyd Mayweather wants to pay for George Floyd’s funeral


Floyd Mayweather has announced that he wants to pay for George Floyd’s funeral services. According to the American press, the family of the deceased accepted the offer of the former world boxing champion in five versions.

Floyd Mayweather has contacted Geoge Floyd’s family, said Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions. The former boxer will bear the costs of George Floyd’s funeral, which will take place on June 9 in Houston, as well as other expenses.

Mayweather Productions has also offered to hold commemoration ceremonies in four cities, Houston, Minneapolis, Charlotte, and an unspecified location.

“He will probably be upset with me for saying that, but yes, he will pay for the funeral,” Leonard Ellerbe said.

Derek Chauvin, a 44-year-old Minneapolis police officer who immobilized George Floyd with his knee on his neck until the man died, was arrested on charges of reckless homicide.
