Since the entry into force of the Military Ordinance no. 2 and so far, 1,600 persons who have not respected the period of self-isolation were placed in institutionalized quarantine. Also, 55 people in quarantine left the place where they were placed, for which the measure of quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
At the same time, 148 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, admitted to hospitals in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacau, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomita, Bistrita-Nasaud, Covasna, Dambovita, Vrancea, Galati, Caras-Severin, Mureș and Mehedinți died. Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, 251 other cases of illness have been registered. At ATI, at this moment, 141 patients are admitted. In the territory of Romania, there are 15,980 persons in institutionalized quarantine.
Another 108,810 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision. To date, 38,623 tests have been processed at a national level. In the last 24 hours, 766 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 3,300 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens. Through the authorized structures of the M.A.I. to date, 310 criminal cases have been drawn up, in the aspect of committing the crime of abusing the disease control, a fact provided and punished by art. 352 para. 1 Criminal Code. The police and the gendarmes detected, in the last 24 hours, 7,935 people who did not comply with the measure regarding the restriction of movement.
To these, contraventional sanctions were applied, amounting to 20,012,571 lei. Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, according to information obtained by the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, to date, 401 Romanian citizens have been confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 129 in Spain, 236 in Italy, 15 in France, 8 in Germany, 4 in the UK, 2 in Namibia, 2 in Indonesia and one in Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the USA. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic, up to this time, 27 Romanian citizens living abroad, 9 in Italy, 7 in France, 4 in the UK, 6 in Spain and one in Germany, have died.
