Italy is still at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic. Regarding the illnesses, their number reached 1,941 in the last 24 hours (on Sunday there were 2,972), and the number of deceased persons reached 636 in one day, an increase over the last two days.
Italy, one of the most affected countries in the European epidemic of COVID-19, with a total of 16,523 deaths for more than 132,000 cases, started hoping for calm after having registered significant decreases on Saturday and Sunday. 766 deaths announced on Friday.
According to the new data provided by the Civil Protection, the number of those admitted to Intensive Care has decreased: 3,989 people were registered on Monday.
The number of those admitted with symptoms remains stable – 28,976 (with 27 in addition to Sunday). The number of healed persons was 1,022.
