Car sales grew 8.2% in 2019

The turnover in the trade-in motor vehicles and motorcycles increased in 2019 by 8.2%, gross series, as compared to the previous year, while services rendered to the population advanced by 13.9%, gross series, according to data published by the Institute on Friday. National Statistics (INS).

In 2018, compared to 2017, the turnover of the trade-in motor vehicles and motorcycles increased by 6.7%, gross series, a low rate compared to the one registered in 2017, while the services rendered to the population advanced by 5.9%, gross series.

In December 2019, the turnover of the trade-in motor vehicles and motorcycles decreased as compared to the previous month, both as a gross series, by 10.8% and as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and the seasonality by 4.1 %.

The turnover of the market services provided to the population increased compared to the previous month, both as a gross series, by 5.2%, as well as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, by 3.4%.

Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, in December, the turnover of the trade-in motor vehicles and motorcycles increased both as gross series by 4.5% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and seasonality by 2, 3%.

The turnover of the market services provided to the population, compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, increased, both as a gross series, by 17.6%, as well as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and the seasonality, with 19.8%.
