All five songs nominated this year for the Oscar will be performed during the gala on February 9, the American Film Academy announced.

The “Joker” drama, directed by Todd Phillips, received the most nominations – 11 – at this year’s edition. The film is followed by “The Irishman” (r. Martin Scorsese), “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” (r. Quentin Tarantino) and “1917” (r. Sam Mendes), with ten selections each. This year’s nominees include Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron, Joaquin Phoenix, Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino, Martin Scorsese, and Quentin Tarantino.

The members with voting rights of the Academy were also criticized this year for the lack of diversity among the nominees. Cynthia Erivo is the only person of color nominated for interpretation.
