Air France canceled its two flights Paris-Kiev and Kiev-Paris on Tuesday, “given the situation on the spot, as a precautionary measure”, the French company announced on Monday.
“Air France will regularly re-evaluate the situation and remind you that the situation and the safety of its flights, customers, and crews are an absolute must,” the company said.
So far, the company has provided two rotations a week between the capitals of the two countries, Tuesday and Sunday.
The German company Lufthansa has announced that it will suspend its flights to Kiev and Odesa from Monday until the end of February, but that it will maintain a connection to Lviv, in western Ukraine.
On Saturday, France warned all French citizens to leave Ukraine, as the threat of a Russian invasion is increasingly present.
“It is recommended that all French citizens whose stay in Ukraine has no compelling reason to leave the country,” French diplomats said in their travel recommendations.
